Commissioner’s Priorities

The Police & Crime Plan sets out the Policing priorities for South Wales, focussing on long-term, sustainable improvements, despite the major challenges that arise from reduced finances.

One of the principal responsibilities of the Commissioner is to hold the Chief Constable to account for the effective and efficient operation of the police service in South Wales.

The Commissioner’s Strategic Board meeting takes place every two calendar months and is a key element of the governance framework.
