Police Precept and Budget

The Police and Crime Commissioner for South Wales, Alun Michael, has set the police budget for 2022-23 as £346.4 million

The police element of council tax has increased by 5% – 4.7p a day or a little under 33p a week. The total annual cost to a Band D household will be £302.11 per year for a 24 hour, seven days a week police service.
