Your Police & Crime Commissioner is responsible for bringing a public voice to policing in South Wales. Meeting people, talking to people, and listening, are all important in helping the Commissioner to understand policing and community safety issues concerning people. Hearing directly from people in the area enables the Commissioner to effectively hold South Wales Police to account on behalf of the public, ensuring the police provides an effective and efficient service.

To enable residents to speak directly to the Commissioner and members of the team, we organise and attend a variety of engagement activities so that the Commissioner is visible and accessible to the community.

Seeking feedback about local policing

The Police & Crime Commissioner is responsible for seeking feedback from the public about matters relating to policing in South Wales. This includes proposals in relation to setting the police precept for South Wales Police and understanding people’s views and experiences in relation to local policing.

Young Voices Conversation

The Young Voices Conversation is a joint initiative that we run with South Wales Police, providing opportunities for young people between the age of 11-25 to speak to us about policing, crime and community safety.
