In Your Community – Merthyr Tydfil, Cardiff and Swansea

In Your Community

Recently, Police and Crime Commissioner, Emma Wools has held ‘In Your Community’ days across Merthyr Tydfil, Cardiff, and Swansea as part of her community engagement across South Wales.

These visits allowed her the opportunity to hear what matters most to you in your community from people within the community such as local residents, children & young people and older people’s community groups, victim’s services, neighbourhood policing teams, and local politicians.

Topics raised included:

  • Anti-social behaviour
  • Drugs & drug dealing
  • Road safety
  • Reporting
  • Online safety
  • Youth engagement

The Commissioner was also able to support Gellideg Foundation Group’s community digital inclusion work through donating devices as part of the Commissioner’s own digital inclusion initiative. Digital inclusion is a vital aspect in promoting youth engagement and ensuring all people have the opportunities to succeed in their community.

Keep an eye on our channels to see more of the Commissioner’s community activity.
