1x Policy Officer – Violence Against Women and Girls and Safeguarding
The Policy Officer holds specific responsibility for overseeing work relating to stalking, domestic abuse, and perpetrators of VAWG. This includes developing and supporting a coordinated multi‑agency response to stalking, strengthening victim safety, and identifying effective interventions to challenge and reduce harmful behaviours. A central aspect of the role involves collaborating across partner agencies to enhance service delivery and ensure that victims receive consistent, high‑quality support. The Policy Officer contributes to several regional VAWG groups and represents the Police and Crime Commissioner at national forums helping to share learning, emerging evidence, and best practice. They also manage the distribution of funding across a range of organisations, actively seeking feedback from delivery partners and engaging with victims and survivors to ensure their experiences meaningfully influence service development and improvement.
1x Project and Policy Support Officer – Violence Against Women and Girls and Safeguarding
The Project and Policy Support Officer is the newest member of the team and has a particular focus on Online Harm and Safety, including harms such as cyber-dependent and cyber-enabled abuse, fraud, radicalisation, and misinformation/disinformation. The Project and Policy Support Officer works collaboratively with partners to develop an awareness of online harm and underpinning legislation in order to share information with policing, professionals, and the communities of South Wales, with the overall aim of informing on how you can safeguard yourself online. They also support the various services funded by the Police and Crime Commissioner that engage with vulnerable people including children and young people, women and girls, boys and young men, and people from marginalised groups who are victims, or at risk of online harm to receive specialist training on these key topics.
If you or someone you know has been a victim of crime support is available from both national and local support services. Information on these services and how to contact them is available via the Victims Directory.
