Commissioner’s team attend Codi Cymru | Race Council Cymru’s Exhibition and Conference

Members of the Police and Crime Commissioner’s team recently attended Race Council Cymru’s Black Lives Matter Wales Exhibition and Conference, Codi Cymru in commemoration of the UN Day for Elimination of Racial Discrimination.

All four Welsh Forces provide sponsorship to Race Council Cymru in order to support their engagement and events. This exhibition, held in St Fagans National Museum of History aimed to raise awareness about racial injustice, promote dialogue, and encourage positive change.

Inspiring activists, professionals, and former First Minister Mark Drakeford participated in leading thought-provoking exhibits, shared experiences, and engaging workshops exploring ways to combat systemic racism.

Attendees reaffirmed their dedication to anti-racism and achieving a racism-free Wales by 2030.

The visit allowed the team to hear people’s experiences, discuss issues, and to highlight the Criminal Justice Anti-Racism Action Plan for Wales.
