Collaborative Procurement Initiative Award Success at Go Awards Wales

Back in November 2024, we were delighted to announce that South Wales Police and Crime Commissioner was shortlisted and later won the 2024 Go Awards Wales!

The South Wales Police and Crime Commissioner was nominated for the Collaborative Procurement Initiative Award alongside its commissioning partners South Wales Police, Gwent Police and Crime Commissioner, Gwent Police, HMPPS and Welsh Government.

This celebrated the successes of the newly launched Women’s and Young Adults Service and the Commissioner’s ambition (with support from North Wales and Dyfed Powys Police and Crime Commissioners) to design a service that works seamlessly to support women at all stages of the justice system, alongside an integrated early intervention service for young adults across South Wales and Gwent.

The significant investment of £9.8m, made by HMPPS in Wales, South Wales and Gwent Police and Crime Commissioners, and Welsh Government demonstrates the strong commitment of commissioners in Wales to come together to deliver sustainable improvements to the outcomes and experiences of women and young adults who are at risk of entering, or who are in the criminal justice system.

Congratulations!
