Listening to your experiences, concerns and feedback is a key part of the Police and Crime Commissioner’s role. Just as importantly, it is essential that what you tell us helps shape how the Commissioner holds South Wales Police to account and drives improvements in policing services.
To help keep communities informed about how their views influence policing priorities, South Wales Police and Crime Commissioner Emma Wools has launched a new podcast series, Your Questions Answered: Keeping South Wales Safe.
The podcast provides an opportunity for the Commissioner to put questions raised by the public directly to the Chief Constable of South Wales Police, focusing on issues that matter most to local communities.
South Wales Police and Crime Commissioner Emma Wools said:
“When I spend time in our communities, attending events and meetings, I often hear the same concerns and questions being raised by residents.
This podcast is about making sure those voices are heard and that those questions receive clear answers.
By listening to Your Questions Answered: Keeping South Wales Safe, you’ll hear how the feedback you share helps shape the way I hold South Wales Police to account. You’ll also hear directly from the Chief Constable about the challenges facing policing, the progress being made, and the work that continues to keep our communities safe.
The first episode focuses on anti-social behaviour, an issue that residents consistently raise with me. Anti-social behaviour can have a significant impact on people’s quality of life, affecting how safe they feel in their neighbourhoods and their confidence in reporting concerns.
In this episode, we explore how South Wales Police keep communities informed after incidents are reported and the work being undertaken to tackle anti-social behaviour through prevention, early intervention and enforcement.”
