As Director of Communities, Partnerships and Prevention, Cerys leads on developing and maintaining strategic partnerships across public, private, and voluntary sectors to deliver effective crime prevention and harm reduction strategies. Cerys fosters collaboration between stakeholders to address the root causes of crime to develop holistic approaches to public safety, driving initiatives to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour, whilst building community engagement, promoting social justice and inclusion.

Main Responsibilities

Develop and implement partnership strategies to promote crime prevention, ensuring alignment with the Police and Crime Commissioner’s strategic objectives.
Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders including local authorities, health services, education providers, businesses, community groups, and voluntary organisations.
Represent the Commissioner’s office in multi-agency forums and working groups, advocating for joint initiatives that address crime, community safety, and vulnerability issues, at local, regional, Wales
and UK level.
Lead on the development, coordination, and evaluation of crime prevention programs across South Wales, including campaigns to reduce anti-social behaviour, community safety, violence reduction and domestic violence.
Work with South Wales Police and external partners to develop targeted intervention programs aimed at preventing crime in high-risk areas and among vulnerable populations.
