Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement partnership strategies to promote crime prevention, ensuring alignment with the Police and Crime Commissioner’s strategic objectives.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders including local authorities, health services, education providers, businesses, community groups, and voluntary organisations.
  • Represent the Commissioner’s office in multi-agency forums and working groups, advocating for joint initiatives that address crime, community safety, and vulnerability issues, at local, regional, Wales
    and UK level.
  • Lead on the development, coordination, and evaluation of crime prevention programs across South Wales, including campaigns to reduce anti-social behaviour, community safety, violence reduction and domestic violence.
  • Work with South Wales Police and external partners to develop targeted intervention programs aimed at preventing crime in high-risk areas and among vulnerable populations.
