Main Responsibilities
- Develop and implement partnership strategies to promote crime prevention, ensuring alignment with the Police and Crime Commissioner’s strategic objectives.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders including local authorities, health services, education providers, businesses, community groups, and voluntary organisations.
- Represent the Commissioner’s office in multi-agency forums and working groups, advocating for joint initiatives that address crime, community safety, and vulnerability issues, at local, regional, Wales
and UK level. - Lead on the development, coordination, and evaluation of crime prevention programs across South Wales, including campaigns to reduce anti-social behaviour, community safety, violence reduction and domestic violence.
- Work with South Wales Police and external partners to develop targeted intervention programs aimed at preventing crime in high-risk areas and among vulnerable populations.

Gemma Woolfe
Head of Community SafetyAs Head of Community Safety, Gemma represents the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) within key cross-sector partnerships at a local, regional and national level, working closely with key stakeholders across Policing, Community Safety, Health, Criminal Justice, and Safeguarding, leading on policy developments to drive forward innovative and needs led responses to Community Safety priorities in line with the South Wales Police, Crime and Justice Plan, delivering a coordinated, collaborative response to reduce and prevent crime, with a particular focus on Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB), Community Cohesion and children and young people.
Megan Stevens
Head of Violence Against Women and Girls and SafeguardingAs Head of Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) and Safeguarding, Megan leads on the Police and Crime Commissioner’s commitment to tackle all forms of VAWG, including domestic abuse, sexual violence, stalking, exploitation and honour-based abuse, and in safeguarding the vulnerable, including children and young people, and people from marginalised groups.
