An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, South Wales. The Policy Officer (VAWG and Safeguarding) will support the Head of VAWG and Safeguarding to deliver the priorities within the Police, Crime and Justice Plan to protect and support victims of all forms of VAWG, understand and address perpetration and safeguard people, particularly those who are vulnerable, from harm online. They will support in the development and delivery of a collaborative VAWG plan, working closely with partners to implement new strategies, policies and developments.

The Policy Officer will be required to develop strong relationships with partners to deliver efficient, effective, collaborative and innovative ways of working and to identify best practice across South Wales. The post holder will play a key role in ensuring that the Police and Crime Commissioner’s priorities are translated into effective partnership action, supporting improved outcomes for communities across South Wales.

This is a key position in the Communities, Partnerships & Prevention Directorate, requiring a dynamic, high calibre individual with a professional demeanour and proactive, resilient approach, with knowledge of the partnership landscape across South Wales. The individual will also have a desire to make an impact coupled with the communication and organisational skills to follow that vision through.
