Mid Glamorgan Children’s Out of Court Resolution (OoCR) Scrutiny Panel Findings 6 cases scrutinised = 3 Bridgend Youth Justice Service (YJS) and 3 Cwm Taf Youth Justice Service (YJS) 1/6 children were taken into Police Custody Panel Findings: A strong example of good practice was provided, demonstrating a supportive and tailored approach that effectively met a child's cultural needs within a school setting. Across Mid Glamorgan there was evidence of violence in schools being serious enough to warrant exclusions but not being referred to Police or YJS. The work of Cwm Taf Youth YJS Anti-Racism champions was evident in offering support to children from ethnic diverse backgrounds with tailored interventions to address harmful behaviors and beliefs to build cohesive communities that celebrate diversity. Impact of lengthy investigations on both victim and perpetrator identified in this Panel. South Wales Police confirmed ongoing work in this area.
